Probably you have known Lyngsat for long time, but do you have thought of doing such a scanning by yourself? I think many satellite tv anthusiasts do this scanning for themselves. In this case, you will also have the opportunity by using your own satellite tv set.
Many satellite up there take orbit on each position to transmit the signal from many downlink on earth. You can monitor it, take a look at your receiver and point your dish to a specific satellite orbit, then scan it. You'll see there a lot of tv stations running their programs everyday.
